Our Special Blades Are Cut with Water
Following plenty of research and experimentation with metals, Jeff chose D2 as the material for his shear blades. D2 is rust-resistant, wear-resistant, and extremely hard to the thinnest edge. D2 is so hard that our blades are cut with a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Water Jet Machine.
The very high-pressure stream cuts the metal with cold water. In this process, the metal doesn’t heat during cutting. The cold eliminates the warping and distortion of the blade metal. Plus, precision cutting is guaranteed because our blade’s blueprint is transferred directly to the CNC computer.
